Batten the Hatches: The Ocean Waves Wash Out Ivar’s Restaurant
The Seattle icon found out how powerful the ocean waves are when they discovered that the hatch had been blown with water drenching the interior of the restaurant.
Someone didn’t completely secure the hatch and the ocean was no match…
There wasn’t too much damage, but it will take a day to ready the location for being open for business tomorrow. The chef wishes he was on a beach instead of dealing with the mess.
It goes to show you that the power of wave action is to be respected and taken into consideration when you must keep the water out and the environment pristine in your safe shelters.
